“An argument breaks out between two male oryx and they set to with horns clashing, kicking up dust and disturbing a pair of blacksmith plovers (lapwings) who take to the wing to avoid further disturbance. These disputes among oryx are usually quite short lived and rarely result in fatalities although some serious wounds can be inflicted by their scimitar-like horns.” – Paul B. Dixon
