The Cat Scan
Cheetahs are diurnal animals, which means they are active during the day when they hunt for prey. To enable them to spot their prey easier they will often use an elevated position, such as a rock or termite mound and occasionally a tree, to scan the horizon for their next potential meal. This cheetah was doing exactly that, but on this occasion, it didn’t result in a hunt, but I’m sure it wasn’t the end of the story.
This is a limited edition archival print reproduction of ‘The Cat Scan’ by wildlife artist Paul B. Dixon. The original painting was done in oils on linen in 2024.
